About Chief
Chief Johnny R. Summers Jr. "John Boy" is a Level Plains Native, where he was born and raised. He started his law enforcement career by becoming a reserve officer with Level Plains Police Department and completing the reserve academy in Birmingham in July of 2020 and then in November of 2020 he was appointed as the Chief of Police. He continues to strive to expand his knowledge by attending schools and college courses to be able to provide the best police service possible.
